Award amounts are contract ceilings as published on the notice, not actual spend. Some notices carry placeholder figures, so treat totals as indicative and check the linked notice for anything that matters.
What the categories hide
A third of goods notices describe a service
Buyers pick a category when they publish. In July 2026, 1,285 notices were filed under a goods category, and 426 of them, 33.2%, carry service wording in the title.
Some of those are genuinely goods contracts that mention a service in passing. Plenty are not. If you run alerts against categories alone, these are the ones you never see, which is why our matching reads the full notice text instead.

Why we publish this
The radar started as our own test harness
We built it to check that our matching was working, then found it was more useful than the thing it was testing. Tenderbot is an alert service for firms bidding for public work. This page is the same data the alerts run on, summarised once a month.
